I am Alyssa, a Swiss-Peruvian designer currently studying Trends & Identity at the Zurich University of the Arts. Research and inspiration are some of my favorite parts of starting a project. Listening to my latest playlist, looking through old photos, and talking with friends and family about the topic I’m exploring are often the first steps that help me get into the right mindset.

My work is strongly shaped by questions of identity. As someone who grew up with two different cultures, creative practice has become a way for me to better understand and reflect on my own cultural background. Through my projects, I often explore what it means to navigate multiple identities and how personal and collective stories shape the way we see ourselves and others.

Working across video, photography, events, and graphic design, I approach projects conceptually and interdisciplinarily. I am particularly interested in how design functions as a form of communication—not only through visible symbols or direct messaging, but also through subtle structures, materials, and cultural codes that influence how we interact with the world. My practice is rooted in research and storytelling, blending historical context with contemporary perspectives. I am interested in how narratives are constructed and whose voices are centered.
